That’s hilarious coming from philandering adulterous low life that couldn’t keep his penis in his pants and compared marriage to car ownership.

Newt is a monumental dick who would have you hung for the very transgressions he has done himself. Shining example of the reason why the GOP is so insane.

And he’s the one touted as the intellectual GOP.

How’d that last gubbmint shutdown work?

You would think Newt would have enough sense to keep his mouth shut.

You would think.

As usual, Newt fails. They’re not going to stop enforcing DOMA. It’s still technically the law. They’re going to stop defending it in court. That’s my understanding anyhow.

But hey— if the GOP want to waste everyone’s time impeaching Obama over this, I won’t stop them. It’s not like people are worried about jobs, or the economy, or anything, so I’m sure the American people will be thrilled with the Republicans for getting bogged down in social issues and a pointless impeachment. Again.

Or at the very least one would hope.

That is the understanding of anyone who isn’t a dolt or a liar. Or a lying dolt. Apparently this is the newest bullshit meme circulating in wingnut circles. I saw Monica Crowley on one of those FOX shows hosted by a blonde and she was very very outraged about this latest outrage.

There’s an artice here from yesterday about bryan Fischer of the AFA saying the same thing.

Newt has been pandering furiously to be the SoCon candidate in ‘12, but like Romney in ‘08, I expect his past will catch up with him.

Newt, just stick to cheating on your wives. There will not be a Contract Against America, MKII.

Gosh you guys. You are all missing Newts thoughtful, moral point. All his divorces were from HETEROSEXUAL MARRIAGES!

He had to destroy the institution in order to save it. /

I think Newt is desperate to remain relevant in Republican politics so he says outrageous nonsense like this. He knows his time has passed and he has to come up with the most stupid crap possible.

I’m surprised anyone still listens to Newt after his humiliation in the ’90s. Just more evidence that the GOP/Tea party have zero memory and are gullible enough to buy anything from anyone as long as it is what they already want to hear.

At least Newt can help them with the overreach gymnastics. With his careful mix of stretches and new bills they could turn 2012 into 1996 v2. Enjoy your exercises guys.

That’s not only your understanding, that’s what is explicitly written in Holder’s press-release.

The GOP has the worst short-term memory I’ve ever seen. Between falling for Perot-style incoherent populism all over again (i.e., the Tea Party), threatening a government shutdown, and making noise about a pointless impeachment, it’s like these guys have forgotten everything that happened the last time they pulled this shit.

I’m continually amused/baffled that Gingrich honestly seems to think he won the Gingrich-Clinton war from the 90’s.

He seems to genuinely believe that he came out ahead in the government shutdown, “won” public opinion during a failed impeachment trial, and gained the moral upper-hand in prosecuting a President for infidelity while simultaneously cheating on his second wife with his third, then getting summarily tossed out as Speaker under the thread of investigation for ethics violations.

re: #17 Lidane

That’s the zero memory I mentioned, for sure. If they had a memory they would remember the results the last time they went nuts over all that junk. The American people rejected it.

If your base has no real memory then it is easy to pull all sorts of stuff. Like claiming to be for fiscal responsibility when your history shows the exact opposite. Or floating all kinds of previously debunked economic theory and pseudoscience over and over again because they won’t remember how it failed last time.

My mom always told me if I made that face, someday it would stay that way.

I never believed until now.
